White House Asks Inaugural Attendees To Return For Picture Retakes

WASHINGTON D.C. – White House press secretary Robert Gibbs issued a plea yesterday for all 1.2 – 2 million attendees of the Jan. 20 inauguration to return to D.C. to “retake pictures.” In what has been criticized as the first massive bungle by the incoming administration, it would appear that no professional photographers were hired to commemorate the landmark event. “I know, I know,” Gibbs said, “we screwed up. The disposable cameras we passed out either disappeared or came back with blurry pictures.” It is unclear how many inaugural attendees will return to D.C. although initial reports have been positive. “Well, it may not be quite as historic this time around but I guess we should head back,” said Tennessee resident Tim Davis, “that is, if we’re able to crash at our in-laws’ place again.” Gibbs also stated that attendees who decide to return will receive a 20% off coupon for any Washington area Denny’s (early bird specials excluded).
